Microchip

Microchip identification helps lost pets find their way back home. A microchip (size of grain of rice) is injected under the skin between the shoulder blades. The injection can be done in the exam room at routine visits or can be done at time of spay and neuter. The microchip has a bar code with a number that can be linked to your contact information. If your pet is found, all animal care facilities will scan your pet and contact the respective microchip company who will then contact you with information of where you can pick up your pet.
